This weekend, the Peirano Family Foundation board proudly participated in the Hook-a-Hero
Clay Shooting Event, raising funds to provide confidential mental health services for first responders, police officers, and firefighters. Our four-person team included Kristine Bennett, Ed.D., Karin Bearnarth, Jenn Terry, and Ronda C. Clement, MBA, CCMP.
A staggering stat shared at the event: The average person experiences 2-3 traumatic events in their lifetime. First responders? Face around 700 over their careers. The need for mental health support is undeniable, and we’re honored to help make a difference.
In attendance at the event were also state and local dignitaries, including former Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn, Temple Terrace Mayor Andy Ross, State Representative Danny Alvarez, Navy Seal/Author Paul Evancoe, and State Attorney Suzy Lopez. Several police departments, sheriff’s offices, fire rescue units and military from across the Tampa Bay community came out in full force to show their support.
A heartfelt thank you to Hook-a-Hero President J.M. Roberts, Treasurer Andrea Hartman, and the entire team for organizing such a powerful event. The real win was coming together to support the courageous first responders who selflessly serve our community.
