The St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP) Faith & Grace Garden was established in June 2019 to help nourish both the body and spirit of individuals and families served by SVDP.
Planted on 2.5 acres adjacent to the SVDP food pantry, this organic garden features two 4' x 30' raised beds, multiple rustic growing beds, an herb tower system, a pollinator garden, composting areas, and fruit trees throughout the property. The long-term vision is to transform the majority of the property into productive edible gardens that help provide fresh, nutritious food for those in need.
Health and wellness are at the heart of the garden's purpose. Through hands-on gardening and education, the program helps address the root causes of poverty and food insecurity while promoting healthier lifestyles.
The garden's vision is to grow real food and harvest wellness through an organic, nutrient-dense, whole-food experience that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit.
Its mission is to teach and empower members of the SVDP community to grow together and share the bounty of God's harvest.
