Welcoming Tahvia Washington Shaw as Treasurer of the Peirano Family Foundation Board

The Peirano Family Foundation is proud to announce Tahvia Washington Shaw as the new Treasurer of our Board of Directors.

Tahvia currently serves as Principal of Terrace Community Middle School (TCMS), where she has dedicated 26 years in roles ranging from classroom teacher to administrator and now instructional leader. She has also served as President of Charter School Leaders (CSL-FL), advocating for high-quality charter education across Hillsborough County.

Her career reflects a deep commitment to public education and community service. A graduate of Kentucky State University and National Louis University, Tahvia has earned recognition for her leadership, including being named School Level

Teacher of the Year in 2009. Beyond her professional work, she volunteers, mentors, and inspires students to reach their full potential.

As Treasurer, Tahvia will bring her leadership and financial insight to strengthen the Foundation’s stewardship and community impact.
