
Dr. Bonnie Peirano, Executive Director
Dr. Bonnie Peirano serves as the Executive Director of the Peirano Family Foundation, where she leads the Foundation's mission to create meaningful opportunities and strengthen communities through education, charitable giving, and strategic partnerships.
In addition to her leadership with the Foundation, Dr. Peirano serves as a liaison to clients and the Tampa Bay maritime community for Palmetto Beach Line Handlers (PBLH). A respected leader with more than 30 years of experience in public health, education, and community engagement, she has built a career centered on service, collaboration, and improving the lives of others throughout the Tampa Bay region.
Dr. Peirano earned both her Master of Public Health and Doctor of Public Health degrees from the University of South Florida and has called the Tampa Bay area home for more than three decades. Throughout her career, she has educated and mentored future professionals by teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in a variety of health disciplines at the University of South Florida, the University of Tampa, and most recently at Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School.
Her public service also includes serving as Health & Wellness Manager for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, where she developed and led a comprehensive employee health and wellness program designed to support the physical and mental well-being of agency personnel.
Dr. Peirano has dedicated more than three decades to community leadership and volunteerism.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Tampa Bay Maritime Scholarship Foundation and has previously served on the boards of the Propeller Club – Port Tampa Bay, Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School, and Terrace Community Middle School. She is also an active volunteer with Metropolitan Ministries, Tampa Port Ministries, and HCSO Charities, demonstrating her lifelong commitment to serving others and strengthening the community.
Outside of her professional and philanthropic work, Dr. Peirano and her husband, Jay, enjoy traveling, working on their home, and spending quality time with their five children.
As Executive Director of the Peirano Family Foundation, Dr. Peirano provides visionary leadership, fosters meaningful community partnerships, and is deeply committed to advancing the Foundation's mission of creating opportunities, empowering individuals, and making a lasting difference throughout the communities it serves.
